NEW YORK CITY-The dispute between Peter Malkin and Leona Helmsley has come to a conclusion. The dispute, which eventually saw Wien & Malkin and Helmsley-Spear enter the courts and has dragged on for years, includes the venerable Empire State Building, as well as a handful of other large buildings that Malkin and Helmsley have owned, managed or had some part of.

The main component of the deal is management control of the Empire State Building but also includes nine other buildings. Management of the building will be by Empire State Building Co. directly.

CB Richard Ellis will be the marketing lead for Empire State Building Co.’s repositioning of the 2.7-million-sf tower, and will feature marketing campaigns for both office and retail space.

Mitchell E. Rudin, president of the company’s New York Tri-State Region, will oversee the CBRE leasing team. Stephen Eynon will supervise leasing from an on-site position.

The other properties in the resolution and identified leasing companies include: 250 W. 57th St., (C&W), 60 E. 42nd St., 1359 Broadway (Newmark) and 501 Seventh Ave., 112 W. 34th St., and a trio of Broadway buildings–1333 (Newmark Knight Frank), 1350 (NKF) and 1400 (C&W).
