PARAMUS, NJ-AmeriCold Realty Trust has entered into an agreementto acquire four refrigerated warehouses from ConAgra Foods Inc.,and to lease a fifth facility. The aggregate purchase price is $190million: $152 million in cash to ConAgra, and $38 million for thelease of the fifth facility. The deal is expected to close in thefourth quarter.
AmeriCold Realty Trust is jointly owned by three companies:locally based Vornado Realty Trust (47.6%), Fort Worth-basedCrescent Real Estate Equities Co. (31.7%) and Los Angeles-basedYucaipa Cos. (20.7%). AmeriCold is the largest third-party providerof temperature-controlled warehouse space in North America.
