Rowan, who led GE Real Estate's specialized industries divisionin the States, will be responsible for overseeing all UKoperations. He joins at a time when the UK team is extremelyactive. It has recently completed the acquisitions of the Ark inLondon's Hammersmith and the Manchester Arena. Over the past twoyears the UK division has spent about euro 1.47 billion ($1.89billion) on acquisitions.
Rowan began his career at GE in the early 1980s. He then spentseven years with ITT Real Estate Service and six years with HellerFinancial Real Estate Group before rejoining GE Real Estate afterits acquisition of Heller in 2001.
