RUTHERFORD, NJ-Newmark Knight Frank is moving its New Jersey headquarters here from Woodbridge, and has hired several top brokers as part of a larger effort by the New York-based firm to ramp up its presence in the New York metro region. The firm already has a North Jersey office here, but will move to new offices, nearly doubling its current size. The Woodbridge office will be retained, and will be utilized as part of a plan to increase the firm’s presence in Central New Jersey’s industrial market.

“We are expanding our reach with the infusion of brokerage talent,” says NKF executive director Joseph Caridi. “We’re looking to grow in the metropolitan area by an additional 100 to 150% over the next 12 months. These are experienced professionals who know how to source, execute and deliver real estate solutions.”

Added to the Rutherford office with the title of executive managing director are Tim Greiner, Kevin Murphy, Peter Rossi. And Frank D. Recine joins the firm with the title of director.

Before joining NKF, Greiner was vice president of leasing for the Gale Co., Florham Park. There, he was responsible for some 240 lease transactions totaling more than 4.2 million sf, and worth an aggregate rent of about $450 million. Murphy, who specializes in commercial leasing and sales transactions, comes over from the New Jersey office of Cushman & Wakefield, where he was associate director of transaction services.

Rossi, who specializes in agency representation of corporate clients, joins the firm from Trammell Crow Co., where he was a vice president in the brokerage service group. And Recine, who specializes in corporate services, recently served on a team that managed KPMG’s national real estate portfolio.
