BLOOMINGTON, MN-Liberty Property Trust begins construction this month on a 75,000-sf flex building, the third and final phase of its West Bloomington Technology Park here.

Slated for completion in summer 2007, the building is designed for a variety of uses, including office, showroom, warehouse, research and development and light manufacturing. Amenities include visibility from Old Shakopee Road, 14-foot clear ceiling height, loading dock, drive-ins and ample parking. Extensive glass on the front of the building will provide natural light.

Dave Jellison, vice president and city manager for Liberty, says the project is being built to help meet the growing demand in Minneapolis’ southwest suburbs.

“We anticipate this region will continue to attract larger companies that have outgrown their space elsewhere and are seeking high quality space that is both more flexible and a better value,” Jellison says in a released statement. The four-building, 307,901-sf West Bloomington Technology Park is along Old Shakopee Road, and offers access to downtown Minneapolis, the Twin Cities freeway system, and the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, according to Liberty.

Malvern, PA-based Liberty Property Trust develops, owns, acquires and manages office and industrial properties in the US and the UK. Its 64-million-sf portfolio includes more than 700 properties occupied by 2,100 tenants. Nearly four million sf of the office, flex and industrial space it owns and manages is in Minnesota.
