ABERDEEN, NJ-Owner Garden Commercial Properties has signed twonew retail tenants to its Colonial Plaza, a 170,000-sf open-airshopping complex on Route 34 here. Sleepy's the MattressProfessional has signed on for 7,200 sf, while Famous Footwear hasbeen added to the tenant roster to the tune of 7,000 sf. Terms werenot disclosed.
The property is currently undergoing a major makeover, launcheda year ago by the Short Hills-based Garden Commercial. "Theextensive renovation program at Colonial Plaza is expected to becompleted later this year," says Michael Gartenberg, the company'sdirector of leasing. "The project is transforming it into anupscale shopping center with an innovatively designed facade andnew parking areas."
