Construction of the hotel, which will be owned and operated byZieg Hospitality of Jacksonville, Inc., is expected to begin inFebruary, Joyce Development Group president John Joyce tellsGlobeSt.com. "Having Hotel Indigo as part of the project isimportant," Joyce says. "The hotel element is a key piece to themixed-use project."

Site work on the first phase of Tapestry Park began inSeptember. In addition to the hotel, the first phase of the projectincludes 52 townhomes, which are being developed by Birmingham,AL-based Arlington Properties. Tapestry Park also will include41,000 sf of retail space, 16,000 sf of office condominium spaceand a lakeside restaurant, all of which are being developed byJoyce Development Group. "We're hoping to have all the componentsof Phase 1 completed by late summer 2007," Joyce says.

Work on Phase 2, which is currently planned by ArlingtonProperties for approximately 275 residential units, is scheduled tobegin in June 2007.
