Lowe's Is Heading South of the Border

MOORESVILLE, NC-Lowe's plans three to five stores in Monterrey in 2009, following the beginning of its Canadian expansion efforts later this year.

MOORESVILLE, NC-Home-improvement retailer Lowe's plans to enterMexico in 2009, opening three to five stores in the city ofMonterrey. Each store will represent an investment of $18 millionto $20 million, according to the company.

This is the retailer's second venture outside of the US. Lowe'sis in the works to open six to 10 units in Canada, in the Torontometro area, this fall.
