A spokesman for Dana-Farber tells GlobeSt.com that the newlocation, at 27 Drydock Ave., will house some of the hospital'sadministrative offices and research and imaging facilities. "Likemany hospitals, we're facing a shortage of space," he says "TheHarbor Campus is one effort to help us with our space needs."

Dana-Farber will occupy two floors in the seven-story buildingunder a 10-year lease with options to renew. The 300,000-sfbuilding, which was built by the government in the 1930s to processmilitary inductees, is fully occupied at lease rates of $10 per sf.The property, which is owned by the Boston Redevelopment Authority,is managed by North Star Management, which holds a long-term leaseon the building.
