MIAMI-Foram Group Inc. is planning to break ground in April onthe first phase of the mixed-use Brickell Financial Centre. Thedevelopment will be the city's first LEED pre-certified high-riseproject.

Located at 680 Brickell, the Brickell Financial Centre is thecity's first major office project since 2000 and will consist oftwo office towers. The first phase will consist of a 40-story,class A, 602,721-sf office tower. It is expected to be completed insummer 2009. The groundbreaking and completion dates for the secondphase have not yet been determined, but it will consist of a68-story mixed-use tower. Retail space will be located at the baseof the building, with parking, office space, a 300-room hotel andcondominiums stacked in ascending order.
