FORT LAUDERDALE, FL-Chicago-based First Industrial Realty TrustInc. has acquired six buildings totaling 282,000 sf in theInternational Warehouse complex located at 4700 NW 15th Ave. Theacquisition price was not released.

First Industrial regional director Jeremy Shapiro tellsGlobeSt.com that the property was attractive for acquisitionbecause of its high occupancy rate, which is 96%. Space rents inthe property for $6 to $8.50 per sf. Also, the property caters tosmaller tenants, which Shapiro calls "a popular and diminishingniche in the marketplace."
