Paxton Warehouse Services of Winston-Salem took as-is space at7205 Burns St. after a one-month search of the area, looking atstructures with ample space to store baled cotton from railcarscoming into Alliance Airport, according to Ryan Wood, associatewith NAI Huff Partners in Fort Worth. He says the short-term leasehas the potential of a long-term stay for the new distribution namein the region.

The short list had been pared to two office/warehouses in NorthFort Worth. "We went with this one because the landlord was prettyaggressive," Wood tells GlobeSt.com. The building, formerlyoccupied by Oak Brook, IL-based USF Distribution Inc., was beingmarketed at $3.50 per sf, gross. He says the other dealmakers werethe 30 dock doors and access to the freeway network.

Wood teamed with Walter Floyd, principal of NAI Huff Partners,to nail down the new location for the North Carolina distributor.Jeff Givens, also an NAI Huff principal, represented the localbuilding owner, Richland Warehouse Specialist.
