The tenants are MECS Inc., the successor company to MonsantoEnviro-Chem Systems, and Suburban Journals of St. Louis, asubsidiary of Lee Enterprises. Burt Follman and Tim Balk of SolonGershman Inc., an Oncor International affiliate, represented theseller. Follman was managing general partner of the selling group,says a Solon spokeswoman.

She says she can't divulge the lease rate that the two tenantsare paying. However, the average rate in the area is between $21 to$22 per sf, the spokeswoman tells GlobeSt.com. "The Highway 40Corridor is a very desirable area in St. Louis, there's a lot ofoffice buildings to compete with," she says.
