WEST LOS ANGELES-Dialysis provider DaVita has signed a $10-million lease for nearly 18,000 sf in a move to new quarters and Premier Business Centers has renewed for more than 38,000 sf in a $6.5-million lease as the Westside office market continues to sign new leases and renewals that have kept the market tight for several years now. DaVita’s deal is for 10 years at 10630 Santa Monica Blvd. in an expansion from smaller quarters on the campus of UCLA, according to principal Gary Weiss of Madison Partners.

Weiss represented building owner Arnon Development Group Inc., the developer of DaVita’s new space. The dialysis firm will occupy part of a new, $14-million, two-story building. Weiss says the deal provides two five-year renewal options for DaVita, which was represented by Phil Petruso of Cresa Partners.

DaVita operates more than 1,300 outpatient dialysis facilities and acute units in more than 800 hospitals, in 42 states and the District of Columbia. Weiss says that the dialysis company, which required a facility designed to its specifications, approached Arnon and requested space in the new building, which is slated for completion in April 2008. As part of the deal, DaVita will get parapet signage on the building.

Premier Business Centers signed for its space in a five-year renewal at 1875 Century Park East, according to Weiss, who represented the operator of executive office centers along with Robert Rush of US Realty Group. The landlord, Watt Management, was represented in-house by Kathy McKay.
