For its initial store in South Jersey, serving the metroPhiladelphia market, Crate & Barrel will occupy a freestandingsite on the mall's grounds. Construction on its two-level buildingis just under way, with an opening slated for the fall.
As reported by GlobeSt.com,the 1.3 million-sf Cherry Hill Mall's redevelopment also includesthe addition of a two-story, 140,000-sf Nordstrom, plus theContainer Store and several other specialty retailers. All areexpected to be open for business between now and the mall'sscheduled grand re-opening in the spring of 2009. Existing anchorsinclude Macy's, JC Penney and Old Navy.
