Summerlin Hospital is located on 40 acres at 657 Town Center Dr.The new patient tower will have six floors and 170 private patientrooms, taking the hospital's total number of beds to 450. Theemergency room will more than double in size, according to thehospital.
Work on the new tower is scheduled to get under way before theend of the year and completion is slated for mid-2009. Work on theER expansion is scheduled for late spring 2007 with projectcompletion anticipated for mid-2008.
Not included in the $100-million expansion are plans for anadditional 80,000-sf medical office building and another parkingstructure (in addition to a four-story garage scheduled to opennext month). The start of those projects has not yet beendetermined.
