FLORENCE, NJ-Whitesell has started construction for a 721,000-sfbuild-to-suit distribution center building at 290 Daniels Waywithin its Haines Center business park here. The Delran-basedWhitesell is billing the facility as the "tallest distributioncenter in the state." At its tallest point the building will reach80 feet, taller than a six-story building, according to RichardCureton, Whitesell's president, with product storage reaching aheight of some 68 feet. The facility has been designed with varyingbay sizes, utilizing a total of more than 52.7 million cubic feetof space.

"By utilizing the cube area, the site consists of 66 acresrather than the 100 acres a traditional warehouse/distributioncenter would require, so we are going 'up' rather than 'out',"Cureton says. "What better way to celebrate our 50th anniversarythan to build a landmark in the county and impact moderndistribution."
