CHERRY HILL, NJ-Planet Fitness has signed a lease for 22,320 sf at Marlton Plaza, a 130,000-sf strip center at 2005 Route 70 East here. The location is expected to open by October 2007, and it will be the chain’s third in New Jersey, joining locations in Morris Plains and Toms River. “Many more are expected in the future,” says a spokesman.

The sole broker in the deal was Dan McGovern, a senior associate with CB Richard Ellis in Philadelphia. The lease term is 10 years; further terms were not released.

Marlton Plaza is owned by the New York-based Kimco Realty Trust. Besides the incoming Planet Fitness, its tenants include Velocity Sports Performance, Leslie Pools and Oskar Huber Furniture. The property is currently listed on Kimco’s web site with a 5,860-sf availability.
