IRVINE, CA-Western National Property Management has landed acontract to manage a six-property, 677-unit portfolio of apartmentcomplexes in Southern California on behalf of Dr. Robert Ko. Thesix properties are in Los Angeles County, the Inland Empire andOrange County.

According to Craig Rooney, regional vice president of businessdevelopment for Western National, the owner of the portfolio waslooking for "a more sophisticated approach in management" thatwould boost the overall net operating income of the properties.Western National, which manages properties both on a third-partybasis and on behalf of its affiliated development and investmentfirm, says the business plan for the new portfolio is "targeted atimproving renewals, market rents and ancillary income."
