The developers are Chicago-based Davis Street Land Co. andattorney Bruce Johnston of St. Louis, the former president of MayRealty. Representatives for the developers could not be reached forcomment about the property. In a statement, Johnston says there istremendous residential growth and infrastructure investment goingon now in the US 40 corridor, with an annual household income inthe trade area at $77,480.

The center can be expanded to 500,000 sf, according to BrinkmannConstructors, the builders of the project. The company has brokenground on the center, which will also feature retailers such as AnnTaylor Loft, Bath & Body Works and Victoria's Secret. Phase onewill include four retail buildings and two junior anchors, set upin two landscaped boulevards in a downtown street grid. Brinkmannis also reconstructing a section of Technology Drive adjacent tothe development to improve access.

Davis Street has built two other retail developments in St.Louis, including Plaza Frontenac and the Shops at Clarkson Corner.The company has also developed Renaissance Place and Orland ParkCrossing in the Chicago area, the Gardens on El Paseo in PalmDesert, CA and the Mall at Green Hills in Nashville.
