Denver McGarey of the Coronado, CA-based McGarey Group, whichalso has an office in King of Prussia, represented O'Neill in theMuvico deal, the value of which is undisclosed. Muvico joinsWegmans Food Market, which has committed to developing a 140,000-sfunit in the center.

When the developer gained approval for the project in mid-2005,as GlobeSt.com reported at the time, O'Neill estimated theconstruction cost of Uptown Worthington at $500 million. Inaddition to 745,000 sf of retail, restaurant and entertainment, itwill contain 753 residential units in multifamily structures and185,000 sf of class A office space. It is scheduled for completionin spring 2009. GlobeSt.com was unable to reach O'Neill bydeadline.

Executives with the Coral Springs, FL-based Muvico say 700 ofthe seats in the new theater, "will be premier seating fashioned asluxury box seats of major venues," and will be featured within allof the auditoriums, which will present live events as well asmovies. Each theater will also be available for rent to accommodatespecial events, including corporate and business functions.
