BATAVIA, IL-Ball Corp., with corporate headquarters inBroomfield, CO, is expanding its space by 99,200 sf at 121 N.Raddant Rd. The corporation now leases 243,200 sf, which it usesfor warehousing and distribution of food and beverage containers,says Don Schoenheider, vice president and city manager for LibertyProperty Trust. Liberty owns the building.

Ball's plastic container group leases the space in the buildingfor distribution of finished products such as squeeze-bottles forHeinz ketchup and mustard, and containers for Arizona Iced Tea,Schoenheider says. Alcan Packaging's plastic division had leasedthe space for about five years and was purchased by Ball Corp lastyear. Ball was able to expand after PPG Industries moved from thebuilding to a newly constructed build-to suit building at 801Bilter Rd. in Aurora.
