As the EVP of the development and planning division, Wils willoversee the city's in-house consultation and project management ofland use. Some of the things she will focus on includeenvironmental reviews, traffic, urban renewal, and contaminatedsite cleanup.

Prior to being hired by the EDC, Wils was president of theTribeca Film Institute. She held that post since 2004. Before thatshe was chair of Community Board One in Lower Manhattan. In thatposition, which she started in 2000, Wils oversaw the master planfor the East River Waterfront as well as the Millenium High Schooland the Battery City Park library.
