According to reports, digital upgrades are already under way atone of the two buildings that make up the 300,000-sf campus. Themove would include bringing over employees, now located at NBCheadquarters at 30 Rockefeller Center, involved with suchoperations as iVillage, NBC Weather Plus and other NBC Universaldigital media. While declining further comment on the pending move,an NBC spokesman has confirmed that the network will create a fleetof 18 shuttle buses for employees residing in New York who will bemaking the reverse commute once the relocation is completed.

NBC relocatedits MSNBC headquarters back to 30 Rockefeller Center in thefirst half of this year, as GlobeSt.com previously reported.Building owner Hartz Mountain Industries put the 191,000-sfpurpose-built facility at 40 Hartz Way in Secaucus on the market inMay.

CNBC has been in its headquarters campus here since 2003,relocating to the newly built complex from its previous HQ site innearby Fort Lee. And the site has room to grow, if necessary. The300,000-sf complex is expandable to upwards of 500,000 sf.
