When fully leased, the retail site will have about 100 stores,six sit-down restaurants and a 14-screen Showcase Cinemas. Theproject will include a two-story, 204,000-sf Dillard's, aone-story, 97,500-sf J.C. Penney, Barnes & Noble and P.F.Chang's China Bistro. Some retailers announced recently areAeropostale, American Eagle Outfitters, Bath & Body Works, TheChildren's Place, Gap/Gap Kids, Hot Topic, Kay Jewelers, LimitedToo, Red Robin and Victoria's Secret. "There's more retailerssigned than these 29, we're more than 80% leased," a GGP spokesmantells GlobeSt.com, "but they have not allowed us to name themyet."

He says the company decided to build the office park due tolocal demand. No tenants have been signed for these buildings,either, though negotiations are ongoing, the spokesman says. Theoffice park will also feature a Staybridge Suites Hotel. Thespokesman says he doesn't know the planned lease rate for thepark.

The company had planned a 1.2-million-sf regional mall on thesite, at the intersection of US-24 and I-475, south of Toledo, onproperty that the city of Toledo had sold to the city of Maumee.However, GGP revised its plans to 110 acres of open-air retailaround a half-acre, man-made lake. The property should be open byOct. 3, with the business park opening in 2008.
