BELLEVUE, WA-HEI Hotels & Resorts has put under contract a one-acre site in Downtown Bellevue. The Norwalk, CT-based company says it plans to develop a 14-story, 378-room full-service hotel on the property, which sits on the southeast corner of Northeast 110th and Northeast 3rd Place, adjacent to Interstate 405. HEI, which would develop and operate the property, says it is in “advanced discussions” with Marriott International regarding the use of its brand.

HEI Hotels SVP Russell Urban tells GlobeSt.com he is navigating the city’s approval process right now but does not expect any hiccups because the site is entitled for what it wants to do. “[Bellevue] is one of the fastest growing commercial centers in the country right now and we felt it has a real need for more full-service hotel rooms,” he says.
