The expansion, scheduled for completion in late 2009, will bedeveloped on a 2.5-acre site at the south site of the hotel.
Other elements planned for the project include a rooftop deckfor viewing fireworks, a new swimming pool and about 300underground parking spaces.
The expansion will be designed by Peter Dominick of 4240,architect for Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Dominickalso designed Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Animal KingdomLodge at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
