Committee members will serve as public liaisons, as part of theproject's Community Outreach Program, to ensure that the publicclearly understands the project, its impacts and its benefits tothe future of Long Island. Members of the committee were welcomedto the meeting by Charles Wang, founder of the Lighthouse Projectand owner of the New York Islanders and Dragons, who sees theLighthouse as a once in a lifetime chance to create somethingspecial for future generations of Long Islanders.
A source close to the project tells GlobeSt.com that the meetingwas a success and brought everyone together to discuss the project."Everyone was feeling positive and look forward to the opportunityahead," the source says.
