PHILADELPHIA-Starr Restaurants, which owns and operates morethan a dozen multi-concept restaurants here and recently expandedto Manhattan and Atlantic City, has set its sights on additionalexpansion of standalone and in-hotel eateries. The locally basedcompany, headed by Stephen Starr, will also handle food andbeverage services at hotels in some of its expansion locations.

SR will add a third Atlantic City restaurant, called ChelseaPrime at the Chelsea Hotel there, according to a spokeswoman. “Itwill be a sister steakhouse,” she tells GlobeSt.com, referring tothe company's Barclay Prime here. The company will also take overfood and beverage services at Atlantic City's Chelsea Hotel. SRcurrently operates Buddakan and Continental in Atlantic City, whichare offshoots of Philadelphia's Buddakan and Continental andContinental Mid-Town.

The company has formed Starr Restaurants Hotel Group and namedHoward Wein president. He has established relationships to handlefood and beverage services at various hotels.
