SALISBURY, MD-Marshall Management has added five hotels to itsportfolio of hotels under management. These include an aloft hotelcurrently under construction outside of Washington, DC, an historichotel in upstate New York, two properties in West Virginia and aGettysburg, PA-based-property with a 60,000-sf event center.

Two other mandates Marshall Management won recently were withthe Lam Group and Lam Generation to facilitate development of theirplanned hotels in New York City. The contracts are part of a largerexpansion for the company, according to Mike Marshall, presidentand CEO. “In the past 18 months, we have added new resorts, upperupscale hotels and mid-market properties with and without food andbeverage,” he says in a statement.

The new contracts include: A 144-room aloft in Chantilly, Va.,which is expected to open in the 2009 first quarter; The 100-keyhistoric Flanagan Hotel in Malone, NY, which was built in 1917 andclosed in 1997 after sustaining extensive fire damage. The propertyis undergoing reconstruction and, when completed, will include5,500 sf of meeting and social function space, café/lounge andnightclub. The property is scheduled to reopen on Memorial Day2008; The 307-room Eisenhower Inn and Conference Center inGettysburg, WV, which will accommodate up to 3,500 people. Theproperty sits on 105 acres and has a 50,000-sf All-Star Family FunCenter, which includes two go-cart tracks, a 14-acre fishing lakewith paddle boats, miniature golf, a soccer field and basketballand volleyball courts; The 205-room Waterfront Place Hotel inMorgantown, WV, which overlooks the Monongahela River and features10,000 sf of flexible meeting space that can accommodate groups ofup to 1,000 people; The 106-room Holiday Inn Fairmont in Fairmont,WV, which has more than 1,500 sf of meeting space and is locatednear Prickett's Fort State Park and West Virginia University. Theproperty will undergo a major renovation beginning in October.
