CHICAGO-Jupiter Communities LLC, based here, plans to increaseits third party management business and plans to “brand the Jupiterway of doing business,” says Kellie DeVilbiss, the new president ofJupiter Communities. DeVilbiss, 42, had previously been a directorin the capital markets group for Cushman & Wakefield Inc.

Jupiter Communities Inc., a subsidiary of Jupiter Realty Co.,has a portfolio of more than 8,900 units on 23 sites. The companymanages apartments owned by Jupiter and several third-party clientsin Illinois, Ohio, Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina. Jupiterwants to increase the amount of third-party management it does, shesays. DeVilbiss says she thought it would be a long-term goal butthat a current client is going to have Jupiter “take over a couplemore states,” she says. DeVilbiss said she could not give detailson the deal yet.
