ARE YOU THINKING OF A JOB SWITCH?

The majority opinion flipped occasionally throughout theweek in a neck-and-neck race between those poll respondents who areand those who are not thinking of a job switch. The final tallycame down--although only slightly--on the side of those who wouldnot. In fact, 53% of our readers are staying put while 47% havealready, in their minds at least, packed their bags. To CommentatorAnthony J. LoPinto, CEO of Equinox Partners in New York City (and aweekly GlobeSt.com columnist), this comes as no surprise. Here'swhy:

"Whenever you have an event that creates a credit-levelsituation, such as what we've just experienced, there's typically avery quick response on the part of employers, who will immediatelystart to act with caution about hiring and expansion. This was asignificant enough event and highly publicized, so that reaction isunderstandable.
