The center, Kirkwood Plaza, is a long-term fixture in New CastleCounty. Developed by Dale L. Reese in the 1960s, it was one of thefirst large retail centers to be built here.

Ron Cappello with Fameco Real Estate represented the seller inthe transaction. Cappello maintained contact with the owner overthe years; when the LP was ready to sell the center, it tappedCappello to handle the sale. Today it is 95% leased, and anchoredby Kohl's, Pathmark, AC Moore and Petco.

Oekos has hired Fameco as the center's leasing agent. Famecorepresents 90 shopping centers and retail properties totaling 14million sf in the tri-state area.
