DAVIE, FL-REMS Group has broken ground on the first phase of the$80-million 595 Corporate Park of Commerce located along Interstate595 just west of Nob Hill Road. The 42-acre project calls for 18buildings, totaling 523,000 sf, which will be developed in threephases.

Hallandale, FL-based REMS' development site is located midwaybetween Interstates 75 and 95 and close to the Florida Turnpike.The first phase will contain eight buildings with a total of220,000 of office, industrial, retail and flex space. One two-storybuilding will have about 17,000 sf of office space on the top floorfor professional tenants like lawyers and accountants and hybridspace on the ground floor for retail and warehouse tenants. Therealso will be five flex buildings and two dock-high warehouses.

REMS Group partner Robert Lechter tells GlobeSt.com that sitework began a few months ago on the project. The first phase isexpected to be completed in six to eight months.
