MANASSAS PARK, VA-American Building Corp. and the City ofManassas Park have submitted a proposal to the US Army Corps ofEngineers to build a 45-acre, transit-oriented office campus thatwill include a turnkey Department of Defense campus. This campuswould consolidate up to 6,500 personnel as part of the 2005 BaseRealignment and Closure Act.

The proposed $1.5-billion development would also includeapproximately five million sf, with a new City Hall, civic center,public library, condominium towers, office space for up to 20,000workers, hotel and conference center, shopping and entertainment,and recreational facilities.
