BROOKLYN, NY-Mayor Michael Bloomberg and city council speakerChristine Quinn revealed plans for the Brooklyn Navy YardHistorical Center here. Once renovated and expanded, with a modernstructure attached to the rear of the building, the 25,000-sffacility will house a new center that will celebrate the NavyYard's past, present and future and will provide community meetingspace and office facilities for the Brooklyn Center for the UrbanEnvironment. The historical center will open in early 2010.
