GREENWICH, CT-Starwood Capital Group LLC has hired Bill Green tooversee the company's debt investment business. Green bringsdiverse capabilities and an extensive background in real estate andfinance to the newly created position, according to StarwoodCapital.

Recently he was global head of real estate capital markets atWachovia Securities, where he oversaw the company's expansion intointernational markets. According to Starwood, "under hisleadership, capital deployment from the real estate capital marketsgroup grew nearly 10-fold." Green spent the past seven years atWachovia, where he managed the company's commercial real estatesecuritization, structured finance, equity co-investment, loanservicing, asset management and trading functions.
