A major portion of the project encompasses the renovation of anexisting warehouse building on Three Brooks Rd. here, say countyofficials. The 125,000-sf facility is current occupied by ShorePoints Distributors, a beer wholesaler, which is in the process ofbuilding a 270,000-sfwarehouse nearby, and will vacate the site next year.
In September, the county board of freeholders approved aresolution appropriating $13.2 million to buy three parcelstotaling 44 acres along Three Brooks Rd., including the existingwarehouse building. The overall $65-million cost does include thesite acquisition, according to a county spokesman.A time line forthe new complex hasn't been announced, pending final plans for theproject.
