SAN FRANCISCO-AMB Property Corp. has signed DHL Exel SupplyChain to lease 590,000 sf of space in North America, Europe andAsia, including 491,000 sf near the ports of Seattle and Tacoma.The 491,000-sf portion of the leases is at AMB Valley DistributionCenter at 2202 Perimeter Rd. in Auburn, WA, in the Kent Valleyregion.
DHL Exel Supply Chain, a Deutsche Post World Net company, isAMB's top customer and a global market leader in the internationalexpress and logistics industry, notes Hamid R. Moghadam, AMB'schairman and CEO. The Seattle area space that DHL Exel will leasewill serve as Exel's new West Coast regional distribution hub.
