The organization waslooking for more efficient space and decided to relocate within thebuilding as opposed to trying to remain in their current spacewhile renovations were completed, Stein says. Great Books wanted toremain at 35 E. Wacker "because the building really fits theirimage," he says. The organization is one of the largest nonprofitgroups in the city and appreciates the architecture of the olderbuilding, which was built in the 1920's, Stein says.

The former Jeweler's Building is more than 75% leased, Steinsays. Major tenants include America's Second Harvest, Home ArtsGuild Research Center and Murphy Jahn Architects. The asking leaserate is approximately $25 per sf, gross.
