Construction is slated to start in April, with completionexpected by the end of December, according to the Kansas CityBusiness Journal. The Adams Dairy Landing project is coming outof the ground on 65 acres near Interstate 70.

According to RED Development project information, the projectincludes Target and Lowe's as well as eight mid-size retailers, alifestyle center for small specialty retailers and four padbuildings for smaller stores. The site is across the street fromWal-Mart and Home Depot.

According to earlier reports, when the project was firstannounced, more than 35 retailers are expected to be located in theproject. Construction costs were estimated at $146 million. At thetime, the first stores were expected to open in fall 2008.
