Buildout of the corporate office park at Mallard Creek ChurchRoad and North Tryon Street could take five years or longer,depending on the economy. But BofA hopes to start the first phasein the near future, a representative told the Charlotte CityCouncil last week.

The first phase calls for a 200,000-square-foot signaturebuilding up to 200 feet tall, followed by a second 265-footstructure. The development also could include up to 75,000 squarefeet of shops, restaurants and other uses, such as child-carecenters.
