Last year, PGI, a global engineered materials company, closedits manufacturing plant here "to better align the company'scapabilities with its long-term strategic direction," according topress reports. PGI continues to operate seven US plants in Bensonand Mooresville, NC; North Little Rock, AR; Waynesboro, VA;Kingman, KS; Clearfield, UT; Guntown, MS; and Clackamas, OR. Thelocally based facility was originally built as a tomato canningplant, before being acquired by Scott Paper for the manufacture ofnon-woven polymer, and eventually by PGI.

A family-owned, full-service crane rental and constructionsupport company, Thackray plans to offer the property for lease.According to the company, which will maintain space in thebuilding, it is open to both single-occupancy and multiple tenants.PGI tells GlobeSt.com that the space is suitable for light andheavy industrial use. Binswanger is marketing the property on itsbehalf.
