WASHINGTON, DC-Hines has selected JimDunlop to lead its regional multifamily operations here.As the Houston, TX-based company announced Dunlop’s appointment italso said it wants to grow its business line in the Mid-Atlantic.Hines will be based in the DC area, coordinating activity with thefirm’s East Region. The company did not return a call toGlobeSt.com in time for publication.

Most recently, Dunlop was senior vice president for ZOMDevelopment, also in DC, managing its multifamilydevelopment for the Mid-Atlantic region. Before that he was seniorvice president-Development for Archstone-Smith'sNortheast region and was responsible for its residentialdevelopments in New York, Boston and Chicago. Dunlop’s ties toArchstone will be welcome as the construction on the CityCenterDCdevelopment--a joint Hines and Archstone project--getsunderway.

Hines appears to be building out its multifamily platformnationwide, having announced a number of new hires. It has tappedJon Wood as vice president-Development in itsOrlando office, for instance. Ran Holman isjoining the Dallas office to focus on several asset classes,including multifamily. Also joining the Houston office isKevin Batchelor, who will coordinate multifamilyactivities throughout the southwest with AlanPatton, Hines’ recently appointed senior vice president ofthe Multifamily Division.
