When biotech started taking off a decade ago, I recalleconomic development agencies from around theworld trumpeting the benefits of their cities, states and regionsfor life sciences companies. Heavy concessions were offered,marketing programs were rolled out, and headlines were penned.
South Florida didn’t make a bold move then. But South Florida ismaking a progressive move now. There are two notable examples: theUniversity of Miami Life Sciences & Technology Park (UMLSTP)and the Tradition Center for Innovation (TCI).
