ROSEMONT, IL-First Hospitality Group Inc., adeveloper, owner and manager of mid-level hotels in the Midwest, ismoving forward on new projects again after a slow few years duringthe downturn. Things are looking up for the hospitality market,says Robert Habeeb, the president and COO.

In particular, the company has been working on conversions offormer buildings, usually from a different asset class, intosuccessful hotel projects. These include the LoyaltyBuilding in Milwaukee, the original headquarters ofNorthwestern Mutual Life now being converted intoa 128-room Hilton Garden Inn; and the conversionof the Federal Building in Omaha, an officeproperty, into a 152-room Residence Inn.
