HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA-PFF Industrial 5800 & 5900Skylab Road LLC has purchased two class-Aindustrial buildings here for $33 million fromDCS Holdings Inc. The acquisition consisted of a138,000-square-foot building at 5900 Skylab Rd., which is leased toModular Wind Energy, and a 167,778-square-footbuilding at 5900 Skylab Rd., which is leased to Fisher& Paykel.

Clyde Stauff, senior executive vice presidentof Colliers International represented both thebuyer and the seller in the transaction. “The two Skylab facilitiesrepresent the ‘best in class’ for industrial facilities in the WestOrange County market,” says Stauff. “The location within themaster-planned Boeing/Huntington Beach industrial center, as wellas the aesthetics and functional features of the buildings made fora unique acquisition opportunity for the buyer.”

Stauff tells GlobeSt.com that the two adjacent buildings featureattractive steel and glass entryways, 24-ft.-minimum ceilings andlarge concrete truck courts. He adds that the purchase transactionwas for all cash and that MWE leased 5800 SkylabRd., built in 1997, a year ago on a five-year lease, whileFisher & Paykel has occupied 5900 Skylab Rd.,built in 1999, for more than seven years. Also, the sellerconsisted of a partnership among three individuals who elected totake advantage of current positive economic investment sale trendsand distribute their assets individually into other investments;the buyer does not own any other properties in the area.
