NEW YORK CITY-Watch out, Park Avenue – Avenue of the Americas isbeginning to emerge as one of the city’s “greenest” blocks. Afterthe iconic Time & Life Building receivedLeadership in Energy and Environmental Designcertification, Sixth Avenue has now surpassed Park Avenue for themost LEED-EB certified buildings in Manhattan.

As of April 2012, data from the US Green BuildingCouncil and Rockefeller shows that Sixth Avenue now hasseven LEED-EB certified properties, while Park Avenue has six andMadison & Seventh have four – a sign that more Midtownskyscrapers are becoming more modern and energy efficient.
