IRVINE, CA-Online marketplace for foreclosure propertiesRealtyTrac has acquired online data aggregatorHomefacts in the company’s latest move to grow itsmarket presence and effectively arm consumers with the informationthey need during the home-buying process. As part of thisagreement, Homefacts founder James Moyle will joinRealtyTrac’s executive team as president and COO.

RealtyTrac enters this agreement “poised to expand upon itsdata-collection capabilities and broaden its data analyticsoffering with innovative new products that will further enhance thecompany’s value proposition,” according to a RealtyTrac statement.Homefacts offers homeowners and prospective real estate buyers anonline due diligence resource for making informed decisionsregarding property-specific characteristics and health,environmental and safety information that are outlined in realestate disclosure documents but are not otherwise easily accessibleto homebuyers.
