One of our partners during the RECon show this year is theCounty of San Bernardino (booth CW149). Within SanBernardino there are several municipalities with a lot going on inretail real estate. One of them in the Town of AppleValley. Orlando Acevedo, the town'seconomic development manager, spoke with us recently about theretail spark in Apple Valley:

More than 3.5 million square feet of retail space opened itsdoors in Apple Valley since 2005. Demonstrating the momentum thatis taking place, more than 200 retailers have recently openedincluding Cinemark Theater, 24-HourFitness, Best Buy, Bed Bath andBeyond, Super Target, HomeDepot, Lowe’s, UltraStarCinema, Oggi's Pizza & Brewery,Ross Dress for Less, Red Robin,WinCo Foods and Applebee’s.Still, retail studies show that Apple Valley holds underservedretail niches.
